Serial Number Question

Postby p51dfltln » Mon Jan 28, 2008 10:01 am

Hi all.

I have a list (in spreadsheet form) from the 352nd site... or else somebody associated with the site sent it to me - I don't recall for sure now... but I noticed an oddity.

I was checking out the 'history' of the actual planes that Bob B. is replicating.. the Patillo bro's... on a site purporting to include 'all' of the USAAC/USAAF/USAF serials :

http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/usafserials.html

However, neither Buck's 44-13737 nor Bill's second plane, 44-14790 are included in the list. (Bill's first one, which was lost, 44-11556, IS included, along with the MACR 13859). Help me here - is the spreadsheet list wrong, or is the listing just incomplete, despite its claims?

Thanks!

This isn't an answer for you but you may want to check http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/352ndfg.php to have a third listing to check against.

after doing a search for 'Pattillo', this has the same s/n as me... I'll post their list, but it'll probably 'garble' if the page isn't wide enough
